Tutorial Services

The company, OJ Francis Tutorial Services is created with the purpose of providing additional support in curriculum subjects outside school time to targeted individuals and groups. Working under the slogan ‘They too need help’ the service will try to make available to those learners’ who are excluded from the tutoring industry because they cannot afford it. We believe by teaming up learners the costs can be distributed among many. We also hope to build on the power of peer influence and initiative to attract other learners.

Products and Services

OJ Francis Enterprises supports Compulsory Education and Post-Compulsory Education clientèle. Initial review courses and specific topics for tutoring will derive from the list below:

  •  KS2 Maths and Science
  • KS3 Maths and Science
  • GCSE Maths and Science
  • AS/A2 Computing/Computer science
  • AS/A2 ICT and Applied ICT
  • Functional Skills (Maths, English and ICT)
  • IT skills for the 50+

Resources include purpose designed handouts and collections of past exam questions from each of the courses offered at different curriculum stages such as SATs; GCSE and GCE with extensive experience reviewing testing patterns. Students are provided with study strategies to help them better focus their personal study time to better prepare for upcoming exams.

Private one to one tutoring sessions are available, as well as small group study sessions. Students are encouraged to come prepared with questions and items to discuss. Students are also encouraged to ask the tutor questions throughout the week in between sessions. Questions are submitted and answered via email. While this takes up time for John and is not directly billed out, it is a value added service for all clients.

 Pricing

The product pricing depends on which of the two categories (Compulsory and Post-Compulsory Education) it falls under. The rate for post-compulsory education clients is considerably higher because of the amount of preparation required. The rates are subject to change depending on the economic and fiscal factors. Where this is the case, clients will be informed four weeks before.
